Whether you call it strategic planning, action planning, or plain old planning, AHEC facilitators can help lead your group through the process.
As outside, neutral parties familiar with the health care field, we can help your group take an honest look at itself and decide where you should be going. Outside facilitation allows all members of an organization to effectively participate in the planning process without having to play dual roles of organizing and leading.
Planning can mean starting from scratch or bringing what you’ve already done up to date. Effective planning includes environmental scans, asset mapping, evaluation of opportunities and threats, mission statements and goals, and brain-storming sessions.
Often, deciding "who's in charge" can get in the way of collaboration. Using AHEC staff as a neutral party to facilitate your meeting is an effective way to level the playing field.
Conflict is a healthy part of group dynamics. Unresolved conflict, however, impedes progress and may destroy a collaborative effort. AHEC staff will work with your group to help them understand how to better deal with difficult dynamics and complex interests.
